Wes Wilson, Event Director
There was a time when I spent every convention buried in game after game. If I slept, it was cut short for an AM tournament. Parties? Screw that noise, there was GAMING to be done! That all changed the moment I walked into Magnum Opus Con dressed as Shoney’s Big Boy.
Wes has been gaming for almost thirty years, has earned notoriety for throwing some of the biggest Halloween parties in Alabama and has helped run programming for six different southern conventions. An entertainer at heart, he’s been doing his best to promote laughter and competition in a variety of environments and looks forward to directing his focus at POC.
Wes hopes to inspire a wide variety of creative activities for our members. Never satisfied with traditional programming, he seeks to find unique and off-the-wall shows that will include the audience in the experience. There’s no reason to yawn your way through another writing seminar where the audience talks more than the panelists. There’s no need to waste over an hour hoping an expert will tell you something your amateur buddy hasn’t already taught you. Programming is supposed to be entertaining, informative, and inspiring! Don’t settle for less!
