I'm gonna get all the Starites in the world!

Organizer for the highly successful Birmingham Boardgames Meetup Group, Creator/Editor of the insightful and community-focused gaming blog MeepleTown, and one of the best people you could ever have teaching you how to play a new game, Christian's been a die-hard gamer since his first forays into Dungeons and Dragons Red Box in elementary school.  After delving into Eurogames in the 90s, his passion for gaming turned into full-blown obsession, and his shelves at home are now stacked high with a massive, ever-growing collection.  When he's not playing games, teaching games, talking about games, or otherwise building memories with the gamers around him, he can often be found cursing his dice in a dark corner at one of many gaming conventions he haunts all across the country.  In the world where they don't let him dress up as a Scribblenaut, he's also a quality assurance analyst.
Christian joined our Gaming staff at POC 2, hosting what turned out to be epic Clay-O-Rama tournaments.  By POC 4 he was our Open Gaming Manager, and by POC 5 he was our Assistant Gaming Director. Now, five years later, we're delighted to see Christian ding yet another level with us!  True to his roots, though, he's made it clear to us that no matter the size of his job, he's still gonna find some time during the con to play, to teach, and to create.  We believe him, too -- he regularly heads up the Parsely tabletop text adventure, Ultimate Gamer, and Late-Night Party Games -- among other things!  So if you're walking the gaming halls at 4AM this year and you happen upon a guy speaking in tongues to a pack of 6-siders...maybe suggest a card game!
Whether it's learning a new board game from our massive library, slaying all comers in a miniatures tournament, racking up the most headshots in video gaming, or grinding through the most brutal dungeon hack imaginable, Christian's goal is to provide nearly endless gaming opportunities to our guests.  He's been building and organizing great gaming communities for years, and now he's in charge of ours!
We need all the input that we can get to make Play On Con the best convention that it can be. If you have programming concepts, share them! If you have artistic ideas, let us know! If you want to help with convention operations, contact Marc to join the crew! We welcome your talents, and hope that you will volunteer to help!
