We want to thank you all for a great #POC12. It was hot, but it was fun. Please join our newsletter (sign up form on home page) and keep and eye out for a follow-up email with a response form for feedback on this year. Don’t want to wait? Hit up our directors with an email with your feedback. Your feedback helps us continue to grow and make Play On Con better. Until next year, Play On!
This year at #PlayOnCon you’ll hear the jingle of the Ice Cream Boat. That’s right, boat! Just like an ice cream truck there’s an ice cream boat that goes up and down the lake. They’ll be swinging by the docks on Friday & Saturday at 1p & 7:30p. Or, if you’re in your canoe, feel free to paddle out to them and grab your tasty treat!
By now you’ve seen our Schedule for Programming and Gaming, but now you can know what those events are with our Program Book! Descriptions of events and other important things are in there. You’ll get one at #POC12, but you can print one early if you’d like.
It’s your first #POC or maybe you skipped a few years and want to make sure you have your bases covered. Either way we’re here to help you get ready for the best weekend this summer. Here’s our list of things we recommend bringing to #PlayOnCon.
Comfortable shoes/sneakers & sandals
Cool clothing (like shorts & tank tops)
Medicine (Don’t forget your meds!)
Cash (nearest ATM is 30+ minutes away! If the wifi drops, you want to make sure you can still buy food).
What’s on YOUR must-bring list for Play on Con? Hit us up on Twitter @playoncon with your must-brings.
Our late-night food option has been confirmed! Pazzo Pizza has agreed to join us for #POC12! They advertise taking cards and cash, and having a Gluten free pizza crust. Wifi while better, may drop, so we recommend bringing cash just in case. They will not have their full menu with them, so if you look them up, please keep that in mind, but they are still providing us with a large menu selection at great prices. They’ll be serving up by gaming from 8p-2a Th-Sa evenings. Be sure to swing by and try them out!
The Green Seed is a four member hip-hop outfit from Alabama helmed by multi-instrumentalist, producer/MC, R-Tist. His beats provide a lush sound-world layered with rich textures and trunk rattling rhythms. Lyrics of fury are provided by emcee C.O.M.P.L.E.T. and are joined by the stabbing attacks of dynamic DJ duo, Jeff C and FX. Their tracks are accessibly melodic, constructed with the sensibility of today’s modern hip hop and are guaranteed to deliver endless arrays of energy.
Watch them live on Friday night of #POC12!
